JOHN CANAVAN, GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT

Watching the PGA Tour as they do their “Florida Swing” always builds my anticipation for the approaching golf season.

We have been busy preparing our equipment fleet as well as the golf course for the season. We recently completed the removal of the invasive weedy trees along the creek on holes 14, 15, and 17. We also completed some tree work on the 12th hole; at the tees to allow use of the forward tee to aid in varying the length of the par 3’s as well as at the green to allow for increased light and air movement. When soil conditions allow we will begin our cultural practices such as aerifying the roughs and the tees. Overall the turfgrass on the golf course is coming out of the winter as well as I can remember. We look forward to seeing everyone on the golf course!

JEFF ANDES, DIRECTOR OF MEMBER RELATIONS

As the new Member Relations Director I have been tasked to ensure the highest quality member experience possible.

I have no doubt we will be able to accomplish great things here and continue a wonderful experience in every aspect of The Club. I believe that creating enduring relationships is the foundation of a successful private club and I’m looking forward to giving my service to our membership. I eagerly await the season to kick off so I can start working with this great team to make sure we have unparalleled success in hospitality and club culture.

Our new Chef, Matt Seckinger, a graduate of Atlantic Cape Culinary Academy joins us most recently from Garces Rural Society in Washington D.C.
